Meet Josh
I’m Josh Davies, a cosmetic and general dentist providing private dental care across Bungay, Halesworth, Suffolk and South Norfolk. Dentistry has always been the perfect blend of my two passions — art and science. What began as a fascination with precision and creativity has grown into a career centred around something even more meaningful: helping people feel confident in their smile.

Training & Experience
I studied Dentistry at King’s College London, one of the UK’s most prestigious dental schools, graduating with a BDS and receiving the Maurice Wohl GDP Prize in my final year.
My early career included:

Dental Foundation Year 2 at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

Passed the entrance exam to become a Member of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons England 2011.

Joined Daniel Evans & Associates in 2012, where I’ve worked ever since.
I began providing orthodontic treatments in 2014, including the Inman Aligner and Clear Aligners, and became an Invisalign provider in 2023 to take advantage of their best in class technology.
Alongside clinical work, I’ve spent five years as an Educational Supervisor, mentoring newly qualified dentists on the Ipswich, Norwich and now Norfolk & Waveney schemes. Each year, I also teach the clinical photography course for new dentists — a natural fit given my passion for detail and aesthetics.
I’m an active member of the Norwich Branch of the British Dental Association and sit on the committee organising educational and social events.

Where I Provide Care
I provide all private dental treatment through JD Dentistry Ltd, working within the CQC‑regulated premises of Daniel Evans & Associates in Bungay.
I also provide NHS dental services as a subcontractor under their NHS contract.
This structure allows me to offer a calm, modern private experience while ensuring all care is delivered within a fully regulated clinical environment.
Giving Back
I’m passionate about improving access to dental care. I’ve volunteered with the Dentaid mobile dental unit when it visited Bungay, helping people who struggle to access routine dentistry.
During the COVID‑19 pandemic, when dental surgeries were closed, I worked as a Track and Trace Representative to support the national effort and help keep our community safe.

Life Outside the Clinic
Outside of dentistry, I live in Bungay with my wife Lisa, who runs much of the behind‑the‑scenes work for JD Dentistry, and our two children, Ezra (10) and Ida (7).
Lisa hates flying, so we travel to France by car each year — exploring new regions, enjoying the food and soaking up the culture. I love cooking and do all the meals at home, which has become one of my favourite ways to unwind.
I’m also currently taking part in a long‑distance cycle tour with my two uncles and cousin. We began in Dover in 2024 and cycled to Ipswich in five days. In 2025 we completed Ipswich to Lincoln, and our next leg — Lincoln to Newcastle — is already booked. We’re following the NCR1 route, with the goal of cycling the entire length of mainland Britain over time.
